Spring Concert at the Preschool

Let's recap for your fans what happened at the Winter Concert, yeah? We noticed from the audience that the kids in front of you aired some grievances with a particular #babyG. We also noticed that your performance varied between not singing and SINGING EXCITEDLY! Fantastic! Except, none of your mouth movements mirrored anything anybody else was singing. During our Truth Session later, you clarified both points for us:

1) Yes, the kids were not happy. They were not happy b/c
2) You were singing (loudly) various verses of the Winter classic "The Wheels on the Bus".

When pressed to disclose why you did #2, you simply said, "Because I didn't know the words to the other songs." (P.S. just today he was shouting the lyrics to 'Jingle Bells'. Mama is still skeptical.)

Anyway, you were only 3.5 years old then. On the day of the Spring Concert you were nearly 4 years old and obviously a changed man miracles can happen!

Best fan in the audience.

Check out the only kid looking this way.

Oh hey, security is forcibly relocating some crazy guy.

Best to keep close with your parole officer.

Mama wasn't too unrealistic in her expectations. You actually sang! The right words! And one of them was in Spanish! You are only spending one year at this school so that was your Farewell Concert. 1-1 isn't bad xxx

The Hippo

'Ha po po' is her constant in bed these days. Happy or sad, Ha po po sees it all. Isn't that what we're all looking for? A cuddly blue mammal who just GETS US? xxx

Mother's Day Yoga 2016

Mama should always be suspicious of a plan to Celebrate Mothers by suggesting they bring their sprogs along. But hey, she's the adventurous type so off we went to yoga together.

There were a lot of water breaks.

Lack of personal space.

You did enjoy this pose!

The general moaning.

There was one father in class who had the right idea: send his wife to a spa instead! xxx

Getting a Verdict on the Slides

While he was dozing in the stroller, she and I were playing. Her insistence, of course. She loves the slide! She's finishing my line in this video. She has a lot of words! xxx

Mother's Day Trivia 2016

Okay, some things on here seem questionable. But it's true - we LOVE to hug together!

He nailed it.

Formerly Known As The Trio

Bố Mẹ think you live a good life. You can't deny it. But one thing we haven't done is take a proper family photo. Sure, there were the moments at JC Penney:

Dad calls this my John McCain phase

But nothing of Bố, Mẹ and con. Amongst all the "nesting" that's been happening recently (e.g. actually putting some type of clothing storage unit in your closet so Bố doesn't fret about all the clothes folded on the floor), one thing that's escaped Mẹ is documenting us as a family. Big changes are afoot. Don't get Bố Mẹ wrong - we know that even though a new baby is coming, it's highly unlikely you're going to be abandoned and forgotten. You've got the new kid beat - you can talk, walk, and reason your way out of things. The poor second kid is going to go along for the ride.

Anyway, a few queries later and a lovely, local woman named PD came to our house last Saturday to take some low-key photos of us in our natural habitat. That is, if natural habitat means hiding all clutter out of sight, getting our hair did, and getting dressed earlier than usual on a Saturday morning...then YES! Totally normal.

You can check out more photos here.

Teach Them Young

You've done it with more finesse,  but surely you should be proud.

Mẹ has been taking a lot of prenatal yoga during this pregnancy, something she didn't do with you. But that doesn't mean you can't participate! We've been practicing our yoga poses with a cute series of cards called Yoga Pretzels. You are a natural!

Do You Hear Me??

Everybody, take Mẹ's word for it. But you have 3 languages going on in this video:

(Spanish, Vietnamese and English.)

More words in which to defy Mẹ.
